Let the good times roll....

The Quiksilver Pro is on and it's firing. I just watched Owen Wright and Daniel Ross battle it out in some serious beach break. Owen ended up losing to Ross but still managed to set an ASP record for the most broken boards in one heat! He broke his first board on his second wave, made it in got his second and paddled out. Next wave he takes off on and breaks his back up board. His caddy has to set up his brand new backup backup with fins leash and wax and he paddled out and broke that board on his second wave. One more trip back to the beach where Tommy Whitaker offered up his backup board. He got out back and grabbed a few more before the buzzer but he didn't have enough to overtake Ross. Ross surfed really well and deserved the win.

The fantasy team isn't doing nearly as well today as it was yesterday. At the moment the only two I still have in the mix are Slater and Brett Simpson. Most of the team got taken down in the 3rd and the fourth rounds. Slater is giving it hell and I wouldn't be surprised to see Slater take it all. But there is still a lot of surfing to come. Next up is Jordy vs Whitaker and "So deep in the guts of that thing that it was midnight in there" is how the announcer just described Kirren Perrow's last wave. It was a drainer and earned him a 9.7!!! Heat three or round five, look it up!

Highlights from round 3

A fresh batch of Oakley Frogskins just showed up. Here are the hot new ones plus the couple of gems we already have in stock. At Oakley, they've spent decades creating original works of art that reinvent both technology and style. To celebrate the rich history of the brand, they decided to re-release a ground-breaking style that can be traced back more than twenty years to their “garage” company roots. First introduced in 1985 and originally available in over 50 colors, the Oakley Frogskin was a part of the 80’s pop culture, a time like no other. Ronald Reagan was in the White House. “The Terminator” was in the box office and Run-D.M.C. was in certified gold. They have resurrected the original tooling from the early ‘80s to produce new limited editions, giving today’s culture a chance to own a piece of history. Remember Retro is so Hot right now!!!

Thrasher King of the Road is off and running. Photos up here along with videos to follow. Also the third installment of Dylan Reider's Epicly later'd is also up. Find it all HERE on Thrasher.

Well the weather has me question things here. Like wasn't it gonna rain like crazy all day? And weren't there going to be crazy winds and some big waves? Well who knows. But anyways the wind is turning and the waves are cleaning up. Looks like some waist high sets??? Steve just slip to get on it and I suggest you do the same. There is potential for some thunder storms so play it smart if those things come rolling through.

Tonight starts my little run of vacation. I'll be heading down south to hopefully find some empty beach break to share with my girl. Our rental claims to have internet so I will do my best to keep the blog alive with all the rad stuff that I'm up to. Surf all week for me and you no sleeping in!!!!!
