Greetings from Hatteras!!!!

Well Hatteras thus far has been awesome!!! I hope you don't feel like I'm rubbing this in but I've been surfing chest high waves in trunks since I got here on Saturday morning. Usually what happens when I come to the Banks is that the weather and the waves go to hell. Not this time. It's pretty much as good as it gets. Waves, sun, favorable winds and lots of good company. So far my days have gone like this.... Up for sunrise and head to Frisco, grab a session by the peer and surf till my arms hurt, back in the jeep and cruise from ramp 49 up to the lighthouse along the 4x4 beach access, hit the Orange Blossom for some uglys and some honey dips, back to the house for a big breakfast and to wake everyone up, then pile everyone into the cars and head back to Frisco for another surf. The rest of the day tends to be swimming, hut tubbing, beach walks, and eating. Life is good down here. California can keep Baja all to it's self as long as we get to keep our OBX. Here are a few picks and there are more to follow.

Shark or Dolphin.... Still not sure

So the Quiksilver Pro in France has come and gone. Mick Fanning, the reigning world champ, proved that he is still in the hunt for another title by claiming the victory. Slater came in 2nd and increased his lead over the rest of the pack to over 7000 points. Slater is slipping away with the lead and I'm pretty sure that this is going to be his year. Jordy finished with a 5th and is still holding 2nd place but with a second place finish's worth of points he better get busy if he wants to prove something.

Next up, the Rip Curl Pro in Portugal. This event is a stop on both the men's and the women's tour. Last year this event was rocking and I hope we get some more of the same!!! Check out the trailer and get your Fantasy team in order!!!
