Earl sure did light the East Coast Up!!!!

Kolohe Andino on his way to a win in NY

Seeing a short window of opportunity the Unsound Pro Junior, held at Long Beach just outside of New York City, had a marathon one and done day of competition. Wrong coast heavy Kolohe Andino made the best of the 1 to 3 foot peaky swell and and earned top honors. Stoked for Kolohe for two reasons; one he rides for Lost surfboards (and was riding what the announcers were calling a "magic board" and by the way we stock those here @ pioneers) two he is one of my wildcard picks for trestles, which starts on the 12th of September.

The Hurley Pro at Trestles marks a new era on the ASP tour as the field of competitors has been cut from 44 to 32. On top of having less surfers in the event they will also be running the competition in a new format. For more info on that check the ASP website HERE. Surfline is forecasting some some promising swell and with a title race that is really heating up this event should be a good one. Steve and I were kicking around ideas and we both came to the conclusion that as much as we would like to see Jordy take the World Title this year the cold hard truth is that Kelly Slater is the best competitor and that he is so close there is now way he is going to let title number 10 slip away. So there it is, that's my prediction. Sl9ter will become S10TER at the Pipeline Masters this December. I'm open to opinions and would love to hear then via comments here on the blog or on our Facebook page.

Frame page 18 of 26 is astounding. Jesse Hines getting shacked of his ass!!! HERE in Earl part one featuring PR to OBX. Now Check Earl part two, Delaware to Maine HERE. Highlight here is frame number 2 of 24 pictured above. The quote says it all, "Adrian Colaprete samples one before a sandy hole swallowed him, KO'd him, stripped him naked, and left him bleeding and unconscious in the shorebreak."

New Videos in today!!! Scratching the Surface the new Julian wilson film is in and it's epic!!! We also got restock on alot of things we were low on. Stay Gold and Scratching the Surface... Two Must Haves!!!!!!!

Little long range groundswell sets late today and tomorrow??? Hopefully knee high maybe even a little better. It's kind of a long shot but it's a possibility! Keep and eye on it and keep an eye on Igor, the newly named tropical storm that is currently forming in the Atlantic.

Remember tonight Stay Gold at the Portsmouth Music Hall and on Saturday the East Coast Premier of NoWhere the newest snowboard film from Absinthe Films. Both are sure to be EPIC. Get warmed up with a little taste from the flipside...
