STEPH GILMORE = 4X CHAMPION

Congrats to Steph Gilmore, 4X Women's World ASP Champion!!! Four years on tour, four titles in a row. Is it possible that she is going to become the Kelly Slater of women's surfing? This blogger thinks it's a possibility. Steph rips no doubt and she does it in her Ripcurl wetsuit, proof yet again that Ripcurl makes one of the best wetsuits on the market. Not only did she clinch the title with another event still to run but she also won the Ripcurl Pro in Puerto Rico today too! Carissa More made her work for it in the final but Steph could not be stopped. Carissa has done amazing things this first year on tour. Two wins a second and a fifth thus far. The final stop on the women's tour is one of Carissa's favorite waves, Sunset Beach in Hawaii. With a strong finish there Carissa cold claim second place.

We should see the surf pick up and the men should be hitting the lineup tomorrow. I'm thinking maybe Roy Powers and Taylor Knox read my last blog. They both won their round two heats and advanced to the third round and I'm thinking my calling them out lit fires under there asses. We'll see how they fair in tomorrow's surf...

Yesterday I had the day off and I took the opportunity to jump in the car and cruise down to the new concrete bowl at the Andover Skatepark. It's awesome!!! Super fun and really smooth. The coping grinds really well everywhere and there are tons of fun lines. Outside the bowl there are a couple of cement hubbas, and ollie bumps. This park also has on of the best hips around! It's only five bucks to skate as long as you want and all you need to wear is a helmet. Super rad! Can't wait to get back down there with the boys for another session. Next Sunday, who wants to go?
