Who Wants to go to Mars???

Well crew the morning started off a bit rough with hard onshore winds and rain. Six hours later and the sun is coming out and the wind is turning. (edit... it's absolutely pouring right now but the sun's gonna come back out) The tide is backing out and the surf is starting to look pretty damn fun, AGAIN for the 12th day in a row. Wouldn't it be epic if this was how good the surf was all the time. Imagine if you didn't have to check the report or the cams before you went to the beach... It would be such a relaxing existence if you didn't have to worry about your next surf. Alas I believe this is one day dream that will never come true. Like all good things this swell must come to an end. I believe that end may be tomorrow but I still got a little hope that there will be some logging waves hanging around in the AM tomorrow.

Where one door closes another opens. Have you seen the new vert ramp at rye yet??? It's ENORMOUS!!!!! It's triple over head and the roll-ins are, you guessed it, quadruple over head!!! I can't wait to see our skate team tame that beast, ZAC ROSE, MAX JENSON, NORA VASCONCELLOS and NOLAN MONROE are going to be spinning the biggest 540s NH has ever seen!!! I am thinking I would like to skate it but 14 feet is a little above my pay grade. Then again it's right there and it would be a shame not to try right? Check out these photos I grabbed off the web of the new ramp! HUGE!!!

Highlights from Day Five at the Reef Pro in Hawaii. Clash of the Legends was legendary. Occy took the win in heat two. The ladies took to the water and the World Champ Steph didn't miss a beat. She is looking to match her ASP victory with a triple crown victory for the third year in a row. Also stoked that my other two favorites Coco and Alana moved on to the next round. The ladies' quarter finals start in 15 minutes and the men's round of 96 resumes when the ladies settle it!

Who wants to go to Mars??? Loved the fact that this dude is reppin' PIONEERS!!!!!

DC stopped by with a pair of their latest skate shoe and it’s certainly a good one. The Landau shoe was introduced this earlier fall and it’s proudly endorsed by DC’s longtime rider Josh Kalis. The shoe features the brand’s trademarked Super Suede which has been tested to last up to 50% longer than normal suede. This not only helps your pocket book, but the high performance material also provides for softer feel and allows for a quick break-in period. Nobody likes new, stiff shoes to skate in, right?

While vulcanized skate shoes have become very popular over recent years, their flexibility has forfeited the support and heel protection of a cup sole. Thus, lots of heel bruises and unhappy feet for those that like to skate the big stuff. With these skaters and of course many others in mind, DC has significantly lowered the stack height of their cup sole and has introduced its slimmer and more flexible Performance Cup Sole which puts skaters lower to their griptape.

Other great features of the Landau include: Triple stitched toe and ollie areas, hidden lace loops to protect laces from premature wear due to ollies and kickflips, and an EVA footbed that yields stability and support for skateboarders who are on their feet all day.

DC’s Landau skate shoe is produced in Black, Dark Copper, Green, and Wild Dove (Grey) and they are available at most skate shops this holiday season. So have a look and give this shoe a shot. Through and through, it’s a well-designed shoe for skateboarding and the Landau will definitely provide you with more bang for your buck. Just holding this shoe in my hands told me that it was a really good one. I ordered a pair for myself on the spot! Dark copper in 11 1/2. Can't wait to get these new ones on my feet and over to the park. As soon as we get them in you'll be the first to know.

DC Skateboarding is Forever.
