One Hour Parking

This brand new video, out just in time for the holidays, comes to you from NH's own Michael Sanders. This video features many of NH's best surfers on some of NH's best waves. All the shots in this film are from the past year. This is a great way to remember all those epic days or to share them with people who say NH doesn't have any surf. The video is called One Hour Parking and it comes free with the purchase of a One Hour Parking sticker. The video is available at PIONEERS right now! Get your copy ASAP!!!

So who watched the Reef Hawaii Pro Final yesterday? Parko LIT IT UP! He's on fire and I can tell he wants another triple crown in the worst way! After seeing Parko surf this past week both Steve and I agreed that Slater might have had a little more competition this year had Parko been on the tour. Another surfer who lit it up yesterday was Sunny Garcia. After his interference fiasco with Curren in heat one Sunny has been out for blood. When the dust finally settled yesterday Sunny had made it happen. He won the clash of the legends and walked away with the 10 grand! Occy came in 2nd, Curren 3rd, and Carroll 4th. The clash of the legends was almost as good as the Pro itself. I hope that this becomes a regular event at all the ASP stops.

Next up is SUNSET BEACH. For some it’s a romance. For others it’s a tragedy. And for the men on the ASP World Qualifying Series (QS), The O‘Neill World Cup of Surfing is the climax to a long, grueling season. The first rounds of competition are chocked full of drama with many QS competitors having their World Tour dreams materialized or destroyed in front of a huge audience. Look for QS competitors to put it all on the line at the O’Neill World Cup of Surfing in hopes of qualifying for next year’s elite World Tour.

Last year Joel Parkinson won here and tied Michael Ho’s hat trick of World Cup titles by winning the second jewel of the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing last year. Both surfers have won three World Cup championships individually. Parko had to work hard for his third Sunset victory, surfing against Six-Time Vans Triple Crown Champ Sunny Garcia, Two-Time ASP World Champ Mick Fanning and super grom Dusty Payne. Although Garcia held the lead for the majority of the final, Parkinson captured the win with a big, barrel on the West Bowl. Parko’s smooth style of surfing is prominently displayed on the open faces of Sunset’s waves and his result demonstrates the judge’s appreciation of Parkinson’s surfing at Sunset. The big question is can he do it again this year? The Sunset Pro starts on the 24th and I'll keep you posted to the happenings as things get underway.
As we get closer to winter and COLD water one of the things you HAVE to think about is your hands. Here at Pioneers we have the ABSOLUTE BEST winter glove you can get. We call it the O'neill Psycho 5mm mitt. It's light weight, flexible, and really warm. Lobster claws are leave you pointer finger cold and 7mm mitts just add extra weight that is the last thing you need come winter time. We ordered an extra large custom order of these mitts for the year and we are the ONLY place you can get a pair. I promise you won't be disappointed. Both Steve and I swear by this 5 mm mitten and after you wear a pair I'm pretty sure you will too.

SNOW SEASON IS HERE! Just got word from a couple of friends that it's dumping in Utah and they're scoring early season POW. Loon opens tomorrow and Waterville opens Friday. Pretty much every other ski area opens the following week. The tuning machine is ready and our selection of snow gear is on point. Spread the word, PIONEERS FOR SNOWBOARDING!!!
