The World Wide surf community is in shock, I'm in shock. Three time ASP World Champion, ANDY IRONS, has passed on from this world... Andy passed away en route from Puerto Rico on his way back home to Hawaii from complications due to illness. Initial reports are claiming that AI succumb to dengue fever. I am blown away by this news... 32 is too young, AI was just starting to warm back up. Three consecutive World Titles, 20 ASP Victories, and four Triple Crown of Surfing Titles, with more on the way. A.I. certainly mixed things up in his short lifetime, his fire, his spirit, and his style will be missed.
Rest in Peace A.I.
