NEW LOST AND PLACEBO SURFBOARDS

Just got 15 boards in! Two of which are the brand new, can't even find info on, Lost Twin Fuselage Technology Sub-Scorchers. My first impression is "DAMN I WANT ONE". The boards are made with traditional poly materials, but the blanks being used have parallel stringers running through about 3/4 of their length. Also, to reinforce areas that do not contain stringers (i.e. the nose and tail), carbon fiber strips are used which provide both strength and a lively, reactive feel. So far, feedback from the the …Lost team has been great, so now it’s time for you guys to give it a try.

Next up is the Placebo Surfbaords. These boards all feature Flexlite 2 technology and we are stocked with Rockets, Scorchers, and Uber Fishes. Now you may not see a Lost logo on these boards but you will see the Mayhem logo which signifies Matt Biolis' stamp of approval. These boards are all Lost shapes but are full epoxy but they ain't your typical epoxy... That's right Flexlite 2 is the progression of epoxy boards. The bottom of the board and the rails are traditional epoxy while the deck is a combo of epoxy and fiberglass matting. What that means is that the deck of the board has give just like a traditional poly. It has some give and some flex, it will also alow you to creat some impressions where you feet go allowing that natural locked in feel of a poly. In a nut shell you have a super durable board but with the flex and feel of a poly. Steve ordered himself a 5'7 Rocket and he'll be sure to post some feedback as soon as he gets it in the water.

It ain't much of a photo but it's proof. Finding surf at 6200 feet isn't as hard as you would think.

Been there, done that. Living in Tahoe it was only natural that this would happen. My good buddy Jacques and I have surfed Lake Tahoe, mid blizzard right at dusk, in sub zero temps at 6200ft. When you live 4 hours form the coast sometimes you just have to take matter into your own hands. This article I found on Drift reminded me of my time there. Check it out HERE.

This short video may seem unrelated but I found a lot of parallels between painting billboards and shaping surfboards. There is something undeniable about a hand shaped board and after seeing this video I believe the same is true for hand painted billboards. Have a look, I hope you enjoy this as much as I did. Thanks TARDZINGER.
