The Surf Community Rallies Behind Rich for the Win!!!

WINNER!!!

A week ago I wrote a blog about our good friend Rich Harty who recently became a finalist in an internet contest to win a thousand dollar shopping spree at his local shop, Pioneers, through Action Sports Now. Well the contest has ended and I'm really happy to announce that Rich has won the $1000 dollars and he has successfully spent it ALL at the shop stocking up on a new Ripcurl Flash Bomb winter suit, an O'neill 3/2, and some Burton outerwear for the upcoming snow season.

Rich didn't win by a landslide but when the contest ended and the smoke cleared Rich had a commanding lead. Rich is such an awesome guy and was so stoked to win. It's pretty amazing how well we all stick together as a community. Rich needed our help and we gave everything we had. It's really special when a shop and a community stand behind one another. Rich was up against 13 other contestants representing 13 other shops. Some of the shops are big shops in populated areas but in the end it's didn't matter, Rich, Pioneers, and the North East surfing community went all out and made it happen. Thanks to everyone that made this happen, it really means a lot to Rich and to Steve and I!!!
