THESE WHEELS from SKATEONE/POWELL coming to PIONEERS in NH

George Powell the urethane guru and the guys over at Skateone are at it again!! This time they created a new longboard wheel and if there anything like any of the other wheels/urethane that have come out of skateone over the past 30+years they should be insane.

These Wheels is a new freeride/slide wheel created by the guys over at  Skate One Corp which consists of other great brands as BONES Wheels, Powell Peralta, Bones Bearings, and mini logo.  They started testing wheels on their local hills well over a year ago and in the past half year or so have sent them out to multiple cities worldwide. After some great feedback, they tweaked the formula's a bit and they are ready to release their first Freeride wheel that is meant for Freeriding and Sliding. The first round of wheels will be available in 69.5mm X 80A, is ground is 51mm wide with a 42mm contact patch. The second size is 74.5mm x 80a is ground and is 54mm wide with a 45mm contact patch. What makes These Wheels so great is that they built the wheel from the core out so that the Ultra High Rebound core enhances the performance of the outer urethane. The end result is good grip, smooth slides and a VERY fast and long lasting wheel.

Look for These Wheels at PIONEERS end of may/beginning of June.. Everyone is going to need These Wheels. Call the shop or email to reserve a set.

From a snowboarder's standpoint this winter sucked!!! From a skateboarder's appointment this winter was awesome!!! With the exception of a few short periods here and there due to cold or snow we've pretty much been able to skate outside all winter long! As the temps warm up and the sun stays up later my stoke to skate is growing daily! As you all know last year we raised $30,000 mostly through private funding to build the concrete bowl at the Hampton Skatepark. Well yesterday the voters of Hampton chose to approve $35,000 for the continued renovations and improvements at the Hampton Skateboard Park. In a nutshell we'll be seeing new CONCRETE in Hampton in 2012 and we, the Pioneers crew and the skaters of Hampton, couldn't be more STOKED!!! So to all those who've contributed in some way THANK YOU!!!

Christmas Ideas for Skateboarders at Pioneers in New Hampshire

As Christmas approaches I thought I would just toss a few ideas around to help you out with that skateboarder on your list. At Pioneers we carry all things skateboard related so if I don't mention it here there is probably a pretty good chance that I have it here at the shop. Skateboards For Kids at Pioneers Skate Shop

With the holiday season upon us I bet there is a little guy or girl in your life who would really like a skateboard for Christmas. Pioneers has been carrying skateboard gear for over 25 years and we can out fit anyone with the right gear no matter their age or ability.

The boards picture here are what we refer to as minis and will help the youngest of riders get rollin real fast!!! These boards are designed with the little dudes in mind, all pro quality parts and construction just scaled down in size to fit their needs. The boards come standard with softer wheels and bushings that make rolling around and turning a breeze!!!! If you put a kid on the wrong equipment it just won't work for them, they'll get discouraged, and they'll just give up. These boards give your young one every advantage possible!!!

Modern Old Skool Longboards are the DEAL!!!!

Been looking at these boards in the Global line-up for a while. We finally added a could to an order and man are we glad we did!!! This board is insane and it's affordable!!! The 9'6 comes in at $765 and the 10'0 comes in at $795...

The Modern Old Skool is an old school design with some modern additions like Super Light epoXy (SLX) technology, making it a lot lighter than it's friends back in the day. This board is a dedicated noserider and features 60/40 rails and a massive 7" squaretail with a deep single nose concave set in a bellied vee-to-vee bottom contour.

The Old Skool's classic shape and tuned 60/40 rails make this board stick in the pocket so you can hang heels or blast drop-knee turns on the shoulder. The single fin box comes with a massive noseriding fin finishing out this gloss polished classic longboard. This is a beautiful board to look at, admire and ride. It has real character both in and out of the water.

Loaded Fattail Available At PIONEERS in NH Friday, July 29th

Although the lovely Loaded Pintail may be discontinued, it's spirit lives on in the form of the new Loaded Fattail Longboard skateboard — Along with a few convenient modifications! The Loaded Fattail Longboard Skateboard features a wider and more refined cambered/concave standing platform, two truck options, a nominal nose kick and a functional (if corpulent) kicktail. Designed for parking garages, pumping, freestyle, a bit of freeride, commuting and eating tubs of rocky road. Because as we all know, she gotta pack much back.

The Loaded Fattail comes to us in three flex variations to help you select the most appropriate level for your body weight and preferred riding style. The Fattail dimensions are; Length: 38"; WB 26.5" & 27.4" and are set to come with Paris 150s and Orangatang Stimulus wheels!
